Kudos to Sarah Leeper for this recipe! She made this for our family when we went out to stay with them in New Hampshire this fall. We had just come home from a long day together of site seeing and everyone was hungry. She and Jamis threw this together so fast and every single person in my family loved it. Hurrah for meals like that and it is easy! Sarah just through in store bought pesto and said when she uses a Costco jar of pesto she uses the whole block of cream cheese and if she uses a smaller jar she uses 1/2 a block. When I made this the other day, I totally followed in Sarah’s footstep because I was in a rush, but I can’t wait to try it with my fresh pesto the next time I have a bunch of basil hanging around.
- 1 jar/container of pesto sauce (6-8 oz)
- 1/2 block of cream cheese (4 0z)
- Milk to get right consistency (about 1/2 C)
*Literally, just heat those all together over the stove until they melt into a smooth sauce-like consistency and serve over pasta. The Leeper’s also grilled up some chicken to put on top as well.
