Grape Jelly Meatballs

It seems to wrong to serve meatballs pared with grape jelly and I questioned this combination at first, but this sauce is sweet, tangy, a little spicy, and these are always a hit at a party.   I can’t take too much credit for these, I stole this recipe from Allrecipes.

  • 1 (32 oz) jar grape jelly
  • 2 (12 oz) bottles tomato-based chili sauce (I usually use Heinz)
  • cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
  • One 5-6 lb bag frozen meatballs (I usually buy the already cooked but frozen meatballs from Costco)

*I usually just whisk all the sauce together in my crockpot, dump in the meatballs and cook on high for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally to coat the meatballs.
